Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province, is one of the ancient cities in of Persia, and today is one of the five most populous cities in Iran. Shiraz is in the south of Zagros Mountains and in the southwest of Iran. During the Zand dynasty, Shiraz was the capital of Persia. Shiraz is well-known as the city of poetry, literature, love and flowers and wine.
