Dizin ski resort
Dizin is a ski resort situated to the north of Tehran in the AlborzMountain it is also the most important ski resort in Iran. It is probably the most liberal public place in Iran but police still occasionally patrol the slopes.
Shemshak resort
Shemshak is a ski resort situated to the north-east of Tehran in the Alborzmountain range and is for advanced ski players.
Shemshak is the second largest ski area in Iran after Dizin and came into operation in 1958. It includes two ski lifts, three dish Telesis and two Hammer Telesis. The resort includes two main slopes each with a chair lift that apex at the top. There are, also, lighting facilities for night skiing. Shemshak caters for more advanced skiers, while larger Dizin (71km away, by road) is best for beginners and intermediates.
Tochal ski resort
Iran‘s Tochal Ski resort can be reached by half an hour drive in Tehran to reach velenjakarea. At 3963m, Tochal ski resort is the fifth highest resort in the world, endures a long season from December to at least April and sometimes June. at Tochal there are four ski lifts, which mountain Damavand can be seen from there .
Darbandsar
Darbandsar is a small ski resort on the slopes of Mt. Seechl, 60km north east of Tehran, on the Shemshak-Dizin road. There are 4 lifts at Darbandsar. The ski season runs from early December until late April. There is good potential for exploring the bare slopes above and around the ski area at Darbandsar .
